Below goes the map of this unique place and the fares of admittance. The opening time is 9 a.m. but the closing time changes according to the season. In June, July and August it goes up to 8 pm. March, April and May 6 pm. September, October and november 5 pm and in wintertime the gates close at 4 pm.More information can be found in the site of the Abbey:

O lago dos peixes / The Fish Pond
Um dos maiores carvalhos, junto ao lago. O carvalho é uma árvore sagrada para os druidas. One of the highest oak trees, close to the Fish pond. The oak is a sacred tree for druids.
O pomar de macieiras. Avalon era antigamente conhecida como a Ilha das Maçãs.
The apple trees orchard. Avalon was known, in times of old, as the Isle of Apples.
Maçãs, embora pareçam romãs!

O lago dos patos / The Duck Pond
Os patos não são tão amistosos quanto deveriam, bati esta foto e saí correndo.

Um padre junto à cruz na entrada / A priest close to the Cross in the entrance
O padre é na verdade um capelão, e faz orações diariamente onde ficava o altar. The priest is actually a chaplain, who leads prayers everyday in the spot where once stood the High Altar.

Behind each lid, characters present information on ancient life and work at the Abbey. Children love it!
