Um lindo dia para percorrer a parte mais bonita do trajeto. / An amazing day to walk the most beautiul stretch of the footpath.
O dia amanheceu prometendo sol, por isso tratei de pegar a estrada, deixando o problema do laptop entupido para mais tarde. Não tornei a ver as pessoas com quem tinha jantado na véspera. Mas quando estava me despedindo de Sandra chegou a caminhonete do transporte de bagagem e acabei pegando uma carona até Housesteads. Da estrada ao forte são cerca de duas milhas, um caminho de terra no meio de pasto onde dezenas de ovelhas estavam acordando, enroscadas com seus filhotes, que se espreguiçavam e já saíam pulando, muito fofos. Eu, uma moça e seu filho paramos para apreciar a cena e começamos a conversar.
Subindo pelo lado oeste do forte há uma escada que conduz o caminhante de volta à Trilha. /
One can rejoin the Path by wandering up by the west side of the fort to a step-stile.
The new day brought the promise of sun. I’d better take the road at once and postpone the frozen laptop trouble. I never saw again those people I’d had dinner with the night before. As I was saying goodbye to Sandra, the luggage transfer van arrived and I’ve got a ride until Housesteads. That saved me one day of bus pass. From the road to the fort there are 2 miles of footpath, crossing a field where dozens of sheep were waking up, still entwined with their babies, as cats do. The lovely little lambs already awake were jumping around. I stopped to watch them, and the same did a young lady with her kid. So we started talking; they were going to picnic somewhere ahead in the Wall, in the Sycamore Gap, so we went technically together. I always fall behind because I stop to take pictures, but I always eventually arrive.
